Thank you for taking the time to read my thread. I have been a fan of AoC since late 2005. I really think an option for changing my characters appearance would be a great addition to AoC, wether its through a payment method outside the game or ingame.

I am very tired of how my character looks. Now naturally I would just delete him and remake him, but I have invested far too much time into playing him. I want to revamp his entire appearance. From his face, to his body color, eye color, voice settings, height, muscularity, fatness, hairstyle, facial hair, face paintings, body paintings, tattoos, scars, and even his race.

Now when I say I want to change my characters race, I say this with good reasoning. My character is an Aquilonian Barbarian. The Barbarian class is only playable by Cimmerians and Aquilonians, therefore I could only choose between those two races. If I was playing a Herald of Xolti, I wouldnt be able to change my race because they are only playable by Stygians. Simple.

I know changing my race may be too much to ask for, but theres only one major problem that would occur with doing so. That is my destiny quest giver. Seeing as how everyone has the same destiny quest outside of tortage, I would only need the quest giver changed to the race of my choosing. Problem solved.

In the end - the race changing option is not the addition that most players probably want, but im sure the option to change our character(s) appearance is.

Ofcourse you will have those who complain, "We shouldnt be able to change our face and body types because that is not realistic!". There is not much ground to stand on when this is said. How so? Simple. Magic is not realistic. Dragons are not realistic. Spell weaving is not realistic. Not having to use the bathroom in game is not realistic. Coming back to life on a "Ressurection Pad" is not realistic. The list goes on and on.

In the end, its a video game. I dont see the major issue with this because many restrictions and requirements could be put in place to stop this from being abused.

So Funcom, I am willing to pay you my money to revamp my characters appearance.

Also, here are some possible restrictions/requirements.

1. Payment method. (Either using actual cash or ingame gold.)

2. Level restrictions. (Make it so you had to of invested time into the character before wanting to change his or her appearance - make it so we're required to be level 50 etc.)

3. Can change only once. (Or twice, depending on what the developers decide.)
